Willkommen to the homepage of 2 SS Pz. Div. Das Reich "Der Fuhrer" Regiment, a historical reenactment group from the American mid-west portraying the Waffen (Armed) Soldaten of WWII Germany. Our unit reenacts many specialties of the German soldier, including heavy weapons, signals, medical personnel and reconnaissance troops. Additionally, we are the host for the Onondaga, MI battle site.
Our site is designed to give new and current reenactment participants a look into our unit and the soldaten we portray. It is completely apolitical and in no way do we glorify or support the Nazi party, its aims, or actions. ANY PERSONS LOOKING FOR PRO-NAZI PROPAGANDA OR VIEWPOINTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO LEAVE!
We are accepting new applicants to our ranks, and invite any potential new recruits to contact our recruitment officer. This site does provide an informational framework about who we are, and our reenactment purposes, so all interested parties are encouraged to explore it!
22 June 09: The unit attended the "Muster on the Maumee" event at Fort Meigs this weekend, and Photos are up! New weapons and photos added to the Weapons page.
16 June 09: The Equipment page was updated a few days ago, with pictures added and links to recommended vendors in progress for each item. Our Upcoming Event Calendar is up-to-date with our plans for the next couple months as well!
06 June 09: More photographs from the Findlay, OH event were added. The Weapons page was updated, with images of our 81mm Mortar, ZB-30 Machine Gun, and Steyr rifle added. New Vehicle page now accessible from the side-line navigation, with information and photos of our unit-owned vehicles.
This unit holds no affiliation with any chartered reenactment organization, and is no way associated with any non-profit organizations. We are an independent club structured solely for the educational and entertainment purposes of our members. No dues or fees are required by our members, but we do reserve the right to control membership requirements both for application and continued participation.
